Distribuzione

Le cinque specie oggi note di questo genere sono diffuse prevalentemente in mwdgIndonesia. Una sola specie, la P. versicolor, è stata rinvenuta in mweaPakistancite-ref-salticidae-1-0[1].

Tassonomia

A dicembre 2010, si compone di cinque speciecite-ref-salticidae-1-1[1]:

• mwhqPystira cyanothorax mwhw(mwiaThorell, 1881) — Nuova Guinea
• mwigPystira ephippigera mwja(mwjqSimon, 1885)cite-ref-2[2] — Sumatra
• mwkwPystira karschi mwlq(Thorell, 1881) — Nuova Guinea, Isole Aru
• mwlwPystira nigripalpis mwmq(Thorell, 1877) — Celebes
• mwmwPystira versicolor mwnqDyal, 1935 — Pakistan

Specie trasferite

• mwoqPystira obscurofemorata mwog(mwowKeyserling, 1883); trasferita al genere mwpaZenodorus mwpqmwpgPeckham & mwpwPeckham, 1886, con la denominazione di Zenodorus obscurofemoratus mwqq(Keyserling, 1883), a seguito di uno studio degli aracnologi mwqgDavies & mwqwZabka del 1989cite-ref-salticidae-1-2[1].
• mwsqPystira orbiculata mwsg(Keyserling, 1881); trasferita al genere mwswZenodorus mwtaPeckham & Peckham, 1886, con la denominazione di Zenodorus orbiculatus mwtg(Keyserling, 1881) a seguito di uno studio degli aracnologi Davies & Zabka del 1989cite-ref-salticidae-1-3[1].
